25 Random Facts Blog Hop

A blogger I know started the 25 Random Facts Blog Hop, so I thought I’d have a little fun and participate.

Here are 25 random facts about me:

1. I hate squash.  Yes, really, I hate it.
2. I’ve never liked animals, but now I have a cat and a dog that I absolutely adore.
3. I never thought I’d be putting this much thought and effort into a blog.
4. My first job was as an accounting clerk in high school.
5. I just turned 30.
6. I’ve lived in NC, SC, WA, OR, and AL.
7. I had a successful custom cake business in Seattle.
8. I love the color pink.
9. I like to eat my ice cream melted, unless it’s Cold Stone Creamery ice cream.
10. I like caramel.  A lot.
11. I love to learn.
12. I spend way too much time on the computer.
13. I play an MMO {LOTRO}.  And I like it.  A lot.
14. I use the words “sweet,” “awesome,” and “awesomesauce” a lot.
15. I love homeschooling my daughter.
16. I never planned on having kids.  Or getting married for that matter.
17. I’ve worked as an accounting clerk, an administrative assistant at a law firm, a foreclosure closing and billing agent, a bookkeeper for Habitat for Humanity, a parking office clerk for the College of Charleston, a custom cake designer, a pastry chef, a chef, and a freelance writer.
18. I’m a technology geek.  Not hard core, but new “gadgets” excite me.
19. I enjoy spending time with my husband and my daughter.
20. I’m sad that my daughter is growing up so fast.
21. I like my mother-in-law.  Well, love actually.
22. Most of my friends live in other states.
23. Vince and I have never had “couples” friends.
24. I love to cook and bake, but hate the mess.
25. I would like to go to a culinary arts school.
