There are always so many places I’d like to take Babydoll for field trips throughout the year, but I never write them down and inevitably forget them…
I figured I’d make a list of field trips we’d like to go on for the year in the hopes that it’ll help me remember them. While these are relevant to our area, they might give you ideas of things to look for in your own area!
Also, you can Google your state or area and “field trips” or “homeschool field trips” for things in your area. You can also check out this list at Hip Homeschool Moms.

This is a great list. We live in northern Alabama, so I may use some on your list. There are places on here that I have never heard off. Thx
Awesome, glad I could help out!! Since I’m not from this state, I was amazed at some of the stuff I’ve found.
If you get out to American Village this year, consider stopping by Orr Park in Montevallo to check out the cedar tree carvings. They are pretty cool. A local artist carved the stumps of a bunch of old cedar trees that had died. It’s fun to try and spot them all. There are elves, strange looking faces, an alligator and even a unicorn. There’s also a stream that runs through the park…it’s also fun to explore.
Great list! I’m going to bookmark it. We’re in North AL.
Cool! Where at?
This is a really great list, Tiffany. My family has personally done most of the ones listed for the central AL area and branching out some distance from there, but you still have several that I had forgotten about and a few others I had not heard of/considered before! I’ll have to see what we can do about getting some of these organized!
wow! Love this list!
