Guest Posting

Thanks for considering guest posting on Sweet Phenomena!  In order to make it easier for those of you thinking of guest posting to know exactly what I’m looking for, I’ve put together a few guidelines.  Don’t worry, they’re not scary…

My blog falls under the big homeschool umbrella.  I particularly blog about what it’s like to be a homeschooler borne of necessity.

Don’t understand?  Take a look at the About Sweet Phenomena page!

That being said, I’m looking for guest posts on experiences in homeschooling:  what works for you, what doesn’t, what you’ve learned, what unique take you have on it, what crafts you do, what curriculum you can’t live without, what it’s like to start a co-op, what it’s like to homeschool an only child.  The possibilities are fairly limitless.

Since this is a secular homeschool blog, I ask that content is kept fairly secular.  That doesn’t mean you can’t include anything religious {maybe the curriculum you use is from a Christian company}, however, I don’t want it to be the overall theme of your post.

The post must be original content not published anywhere else.  The post can’t be published anywhere else after it has been posted on Sweet Phenomena, however, feel free to promote it on your social media sites and even provide a brief snippet on your own blog, linking to your post on Sweet Phenomena.

I’d prefer the post be at least 300 words.

Please provide an author bio to be posted at the end of your guest post.  Feel free to provide up to three byline links:  your blog or website, your About page, and your Twitter username.

I will edit your post for any spelling and grammatical errors, but will only change content if I consult with you.

I may provide a short introduction to the post, but it will be stylistically separate from your post.

Submission Guidelines

Please email your guest post to me at  Feel free to include your post as an attachment or in the body of the email.

In the event I decide your post isn’t a good fit for Sweet Phenomena, please feel free to use it elsewhere and to submit other content for consideration!
